What you will receive

If you choose to provide your mobile phone number and opt in to SMS, we send only the following kinds of messages:

  • One-time login verification codes (two-factor authentication)
  • Account notifications (password changes, profile updates)
  • Event reminders for Bible study, prayer breakfast, and kitchen volunteer schedules
  • Acknowledgments and replies to prayer requests you have submitted

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How to opt in — the four steps

Opting in to receive text messages from Mens Prayer Breakfast requires four explicit actions on your part. We use double opt-in, which means you must confirm twice before any messages are sent.

Step 1. Visit mensprayerbreakfast.com and create a free member account.

Step 2. After logging in, open your Profile page. Type your mobile phone number into the labeled field shown below.

Step 3. Check the consent box that appears immediately under the phone number field. The exact label reads:
“I agree to receive text messages from Mens Prayer Breakfast for login verification codes, event reminders, and account notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Step 4. Click Save. We immediately send a one-time confirmation code by SMS. You must enter that code on the site to confirm the number is yours. Only after this confirmation will your number receive any further messages.

How to opt out

  • Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will be immediately and permanently unsubscribed and will receive one final confirmation SMS.
  • Reply HELP to any text message to receive a help reply with our contact information.
  • Remove your phone number from your member profile page at any time, which has the same effect as STOP.

Privacy of your phone number

We will not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. The only third party that ever sees your phone number is our SMS service provider (Twilio Inc.), who acts strictly as a message-delivery processor on our behalf.

AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and most other US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
